Our Handmade Soaps

Each soap is handmade using natural ingredients, essential oils and fragrances. Each soap is then individually cut, sealed and labeled. As a result, there will always be slight imperfections in the shape. This only adds to their unique character. Each bar weighs approximately 3.5 - 4 oz.

Why Use Handmade, Natural Soap?

Our skin readily absorbs a variety of water and oil soluble materials through its pores. Since both good and bad can enter, you should be careful what products you use. Unfortunately, even 'pure soap' made by commercial manufacturers may contain detergents, stabilizers and other synthetics. As consumers we tend to treat this as the 'norm', and buy more lotions, creams and beauty potions to get the healthy skin we desire. But it doesn't have to be that way! Prairie Belle soaps are handmade using high quality, natural ingredients. The soaps are processed in small batches, ensuring that the therapeutic properties of any additives used are retained to the fullest extent. We never use chemical or synthetic preservatives in our soap, allowing us to offer you a pure, healthy product. Most importantly, our soap retains all of the glycerin produced as part of the soap making process. Glycerin forms a natural, protective, moisture-attracting layer on our skin. Commercial soap manufacturers frequently remove the glycerin from their soap and sell it as a separate product, and as a result their soap can leave your skin feeling dry and tight.
