August 2007.....

As summer heat is upon us and we experience those extra high temperatures, we look for ways to hydrate and cool our skin. We need to find cheerfulness in skin care applications for dry skin relief as the summer season is upon us. Normal skin has a soft, supple texture because of its water content. For skin to feel soft, pliable and "normal," its top layer must contain a minimum of 10% water and ideally between 20% and 35%.

You might think you don't have have dry skin. Sometimes, the only symptom of dry skin is itching, although most people also will notice that their skin is flaky and slightly more wrinkled than normal. Symptoms of dry skin may worsen during dry winter months and hot summer days. Statistics indicate 75% of people over the age of 60 have dry skin.  This percentage is much greater for desert dwellers. So, if you live in the desert you most likely have dry skin.

Can't stand your dry skin? Want to combat dry itchy skin? Dry hot air can cause your skin to become dry and itchy. Relief is not just applying a lotion to your skin. You need to condition your skin by using some simple basic procedures. Prairie Belle natural botanical based lotion and soap used in a routine every day is best.
